Why didn't I get an alert?
Usually because the phone did not show it, not because it was not sent. Check the notification permission in your phone's settings and the notifications switch in Application Settings; Xiaomi, Huawei and Samsung close background apps, so exempt Instalert from battery optimisation.
The list is complete regardless: the Notifications screen always shows everything that accumulated. In full — in the help centre.
My new filter showed nothing — why?
On its first check a filter records what was already there and stays quiet. Otherwise your first minute would bring hundreds of notifications about listings posted before you arrived. Alerts start from the next check.
My link was rejected — why?
Three reasons. First: it is a link to one listing rather than to a search — a filter needs a search, not a single item. Second: we do not support that site yet. Third: the search is so broad that it returns thousands of results — a filter like that would bury you in notifications.
In the third case, narrow the search on the site — price, location, model — and paste it again.
How fast will an alert reach me?
You get the alert on the check that first saw the listing, so the interval decides the speed — how low it can go depends on your plan, and is shown on the pricing page.
We deliberately do not check faster: hitting a marketplace too often gets access restricted, and then nobody's alerts arrive.
Why is there no alert when a price goes up?
Because nobody needs it. We record the change anyway — a listing's page carries its whole price history, so you can see whether it went up before it came down.
How many filters can I have?
On the free plan, 2. Paid plans allow more, and the business plan is by agreement. The exact numbers are on the pricing page.
If you move to a smaller plan, filters beyond the limit are not deleted — they pause, and the app says plainly that they are paused. They start again the moment you return to a larger plan.
Does it cost anything?
There is a free plan that stays free. Beside it are paid plans — more filters, more frequent checks, analytics and more categories. Current prices are on the pricing page.
A free account never becomes a paid one on its own. The trial asks for no card and ends by returning you to the free plan, not by charging you.
How do I cancel a subscription?
From the subscription page, in the app or on the website. No call to make and nobody to write to.
Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current, already-paid period — you keep using the service until then. After that the account moves to the free plan and no filter is deleted. You also have 14 days from purchase to withdraw — see the terms.
What does “sold or removed” mean?
That the listing disappeared from the site. No marketplace says whether something sold — a sold listing is simply deleted — so we cannot say for certain and do not claim to. If the listing reappears, the mark is withdrawn at once.
What about my data?
An account needs nothing beyond an email address. We have no advertising, no tracking and no analytics tools, we do not store IP addresses, and we sell data to nobody. In full — in the privacy policy.
Your phone never contacts the marketplaces — our server does. So those sites never see your IP address or your device.
How do I delete my account?
In the app: Account → Delete account. In a browser: /account/delete. Either way you confirm with your password once.
- Deleted: the account, its filters, its alert history, its favourites, its devices and its sign-in log.
- Kept: the marketplaces' public data — it is not yours, and it concerns other users too.
- Deletion is final and cannot be undone.
If you can no longer sign in, write to us — the contact address is at the end of this page.
